Company FAQ

What do you mean by eco-friendly products?

Our mission is to use natural and organic materials that pre-exist in the world to create the products that we bring to you. This is why we source upcycled leather and use paper made of recycled cotton waste. We also plant a tree for each order in partnership with One Tree Planted. Learn more here.

Why does my journal have marks on the cover?

Since we use repurposed leather that would otherwise be wasted, this leather often has natural marks and spots. These marks and scars present themselves on the cover of our journals. We like to believe they add to the vintage look and feel of our products.

Where does the personalization show up on the journal?

In most cases, the text will be positioned on the bottom center front cover of the journal. However, it is dependent on the journal design. We will do our best to always add personalization in an area that blends with the overall look of the journal. Learn more about our personalization service and see examples here

What writing mediums can I use on the paper that comes with the journal?

Our customers use our journals for water coloring, fountain pen writing, sketching, and art journaling. While the weight of our tree-free paper limits bleeding, it also buckles when exposed to too much water. Our suggestion would be to use watercolor sparsely across the journal and patch test first before going all in. Learn more about our paper here.

How do I care for my leather journal/products?

  • Keep leather items out of the sun. The sun will dry the leather out and cause it to become brittle.
  • Don't store your leather products in plastic bags.
  • Don't leave your items in a humid or wet basement – this could promote mildew growth.
  • If the journal cover needs to be cleaned, try to brush your leather down with a damp cloth and let it sit at room temperature to dry.
  • Before using any leather cleaning products, test a small patch first and see how the leather reacts to it.

Do you offer wholesale or corporate gifting?

Yes, we offer both wholesale and custom designs. Learn more about wholesale here and custom products here

Will you be getting a particular item back in stock?

Yes, we manufacture our journals in small batches, so sometimes-popular designs go out of stock very quickly, but we usually bring them back within 45 days. Sign up for our email newsletter to get updates when things are back in stock.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, apple pay, and PayPal.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We are a small team, so it takes 1-3 days to create, pack, and process your orders. Once the order leaves our fulfillment center, we will email you a UPS or USPS tracking number, and your order status will be updated to reflect the predicted delivery date. The most accurate delivery timeline is always available on the shipping provider's website.

What shipping method do you use, and how much will it cost?

Shipping is FREE when you spend $15 on domestic and $200 on international orders. We offer several shipping options. Learn more about them here.

How do returns work?

If you decide that you don't like a product, you can return it within 30 days of your order shipment date. Personalized and final sale items cannot be returned. We also do not accept international returns. Learn more about our return process here
